Theme: multicultural multifunctional rehabilitation and temporary accommodation center for internally displaced persons and refugees
In the context of the thesis, concepts such as humanitarian architecture and disaster architecture are considered. The project is aimed at studying an urgent topic of our time, exactly, the growth of refugees. The author explores the implemented and conceptual analogues of infrastructure for refugees and deduces the architectural structural and qualitative features of the future facility. So, the author suggests a center that combines the functions of rehabilitation and accommodation of people. A picturesque site on the Black Sea coast, in the village of Volna, in Taman, was chosen as the design location. Such accommodation will make it possible to comfortably accept not only internally displaced refugees, but also people from the nearest abroad, which was an important condition when choosing a place by the author. In addition to convenient accommodation, the conditions of the area were taken into account, which could have a beneficial effect on the inhabitants of the center. Here it is a picturesque nature, the possibility of farming, a settlement for air integration and the availability of industrial production, which will provide jobs, if necessary. Such a neighborhood will be useful for the residents of the village. The center includes a reception block, housing, social and psychological rehabilitation, medical care, a physical education and wellness block, education and a museum. Also, there are buildings on the territory that combine residential and commercial functions. It was created for the average citizen of the center, who has been rehabilitated and is ready for separation. Nevertheless, they can continue to stay at the center and help its development by becoming its employees, volunteers, as well as run a household and engage in other activities, selling their products, goods and services to local residents and guests of the center.
