Cocoon is a home for ‘hikikomori’ - also known as severe social withdrawal - is total withdrawal from society and seeking extreme degrees of social isolation and confinement. Temporary structures are attached to the door and window openings of the Cocoon to solve life support issues without leaving the house - a library on wheels; a meeting room with soundproof glass separating the tenant and the visitor; a house for the cat, through which she can safely return home after a walk.
