The project explores the power of human communication and the ideas behind multi-layered settlements, along with their associated issues.
The main problem arising from Layered Cities is the stratification of society into a privileged (upper) class and a poor (lower) class, depending on the floor they occupy within the settlement structure. To mitigate this issue, it was decided to move away from pyramidal forms, which serve as natural boundaries between classes. It was essential to provide residents with equal opportunities and benefits. In connection with this, it was decided to use the settlement's form to resemble a web. Each layer above the previous one rotates 60 degrees and has openings that allow for comfortable sunlight access to the lower layers. Additionally, each floor is equipped with equal amenities that ensure the comfort of its residents.
The settlement has the potential for unlimited space expansion. Its spiderweb-like shape contributes to the absorption of lakes, ensuring self-sustainability and symbiotic relationships with other settlements.
